What's the worst possible babydoll name ever?? " Reeb". Yes, that is Rose's special little baby! She keeps calling her Reeb! It's the strangest name ever... But of course it's so cute to see her playing with her little Reeb, reading stories, and feeding her from a bottle. She is so sweet lately.
So I cut Lily's hair for the first time. I cut Dave's and E's all the time with the clippers, that's easy. But girl hair, that's straight and shows imperfection very easily... I was feeling brave- but Lils trusted me and I think it's way cute!

Dave and I started watching "Hillbilly Handfishin'" last night! It was fantastic! Now we want to go out to Oklahoma to do some noodlin'! It's a week long adventure that these people go on to wallow around in muddy rivers and lakes, sticking their hands into rocks to get the catfish to bite on.... to their hands! We saw a guy catch a 70 lb catfish! It looks crazy and scarey! Then they fried it up and that just looked too good. So, check it out, I think it's on animal planet.
We always have a fun time at Grampy and Grammy's house! We spent the whole day yesterday in the pool and went to see "Cars 2". Today we are headed to a spray park! After sleeping in the new loft with 9 of their cousins, not all of them made it though, we moved at least 6 of them last night inside. These guys just had to make sure they ate their " capt' crunch" and " fruity pebbles" so they could have real soft serve ice cream at 9:30 this morning! Good times always!
So we've had the deck done for a month or two and finally had a weekend to cut a huge hole in our house, remove a window and replace it with a door! We were so worried, but it was easier than we expected! Here's the progress:
We just need a touch of paint and a little step down and it's finished! I love it! And though it looks like Dave did all the work- we did it all together and it was fun! We had music and destruction! Towards the end, though, Dave's perfectionism was a little overboard and I had to lay the " let's just get it done" smack down! We make a good team! :) I make us faster and more efficient, he makes it work and look good.
It's rare when a girl ( and Mom ) finds such a great friend that everything comes so easy. Even rarer when our husbands are totally awesome friends. Rarer still when our kids love eachother ( in Parker's case, really loves Lils). He asked her to marry him many times, when they were 3 or 4! Now let's take this to the next level, we were friends and joy school Moms in Carlolina- had 2 years apart, and then they move within 25 mins!!!! Well, they moved to Idaho this past weekend. I am super sad, especially since we didn't get together like we should've. Life happens I guess, but I am happy for these guys! Love you and we'll miss you like crazy!
Lils told me at 6:15 tonight- "oh yeah, Mom, I have a diorama due tomorrow!". Every mom's favorite words. But, hey, at least she's only in 2nd grade and it had to be about an animal and it's habitat! Whew! Here's a good hours work. She did it all.
