New Camera!!!!

Holy cow! Dave and I just got a new Nikon D40 camera- and it is amazing! I had a little photo shoot with Rose today (the other two won't let me!) So, I put her in her Easter dress and went a little crazy!

uhhh... America Idol, anyone?!!!!!!

Hello, I am sorry, but after all of my years of watching an enjoying "American Idol" a little... I am IN LOVE WITH THIS SHOW! I voted for the first time ever! This is the reason why... anyone else LOVE ADAM Lambert??!! Holy cow! And a ton of the other contestants- my other favs are Danny Gokey, Matt Giraud and Allison.

Ok... yes, he was weird last night, but hey, we all know he's a drama queen!

Lil 6, going on 16!

Lils was already dressed for the day, had breakfast, lunch packed, and then she disappeared into her room. I called up to Lil that it was time to get to school only to hear, "Ok, Mom, I'll be there in a second!". I walk upstairs to see her in only her underwear, putting make-up on. "Lil! Get dressed we need to get to school!" She says, "Ok, but I want to wear a dress and look really beautiful so Joshua will chase me today!"

Lil's school

Lils made her own school in her room. She created all of it all by herself, with the help of my calendar, crayons, permanent markers, scissors, and LOTS of tape! There's a calendar, weather chart, different crayons to use to fill in the weather boxes, straws to number the days... lots of stuff that she is trying to copy from her teacher's bulletin board. You'll also notice to two alligators she made out of paper at the top of the wall. This took her a half a day to make!

Bed time

We were looking for Wookie everywhere and found him sleeping curled up next to E. Wookie sure loves Ebay, even though E is a little too rough (I was gonna say "sometimes", but I need to be more realistic) most of the time.

Bubbles!

Dave filled up our pond with bath bubbles for Lils party on Saturday, we were planning on draining the water anyway. But the kids have been out there "making snow" on the rocks. I just thought this was a cute picture!

Frozen Yogurt

We have this frozen yogurt place near us that has wall to wall candy and toppings. You just load up your frozen yogurt with whatever you want and then they weigh it after and you pay by the ounce! It is the best place ever!





Here's my recipe for the best frozen yogurt ever:

Vanilla frozen yogurt
Hot fudge sauce
peanut butter sauce
Reeses pieces
Reeses cups
Twix
Kit Kat chunks
whipped cream and a cherry on top!

Lils is 6!

Lil, our fairy unicorn, turned 6 on Feb 27! We brought cupcakes to Lily's school they sang "Happy Birthday, Cha Cha Cha!". Later that day, it was time for her party. She wanted a unicorn cake with Ariel riding it.. but when I put Ariel on the cake, it looked weird, so we stuck with just a unicorn. We had a good 'ol time! Dave filled our pond up with bath bubbles and turned on the water falls! Bubbles were everywhere! The kids were throwing them at each other. We made "gingerbread" castles with graham crackers, pink frosting, ice cream cones, and lots of candy! That was really fun for the kids. Then we destroyed a flower pinata and ate cake a ice cream! The party was a success! Her teacher, Mrs. Young, even came to her party! She's the best!

Our little runner!

We always knew Lils was a fast runner, but this weekend, we put her to the test! My brother, Orin, was out visiting from Virgina for the week and so we decided to go up to the Sacramento Temple grounds and let the kids run around a little. The grounds up there on the hill are gorgeous with the grass and oak trees. There are always wild turkeys up there to chase as well!

So Lils and E start having races form the bench to the water fountain or from one tree to the next. I decided to run a bit with them and I was running pretty fast to keep the pace with Lils! I was impressed! Orin took it upon himself to coach Lil and time her. She would run from the bench to the water fountain and back. Orin help her work on her touch and go turn and her time improved from 16 seconds to 12! Verry nice. The I challenged Orin to run it. He did it in 9.6. I ran it in 11.6.... Then Lil ran angain and BEAT my time! Yep, she beat me, I am ashamed!
